About Me.

For as long as I can remember, I have been passionate about all things decorating. I worked as a nurse for 15 years during which time I married and raised three great kids. All the while, decorating held a prominent place in my heart. It was important to me to create a place that everyone loved and looked forward to coming home at the end of the day. We have moved a few times over the years and as stressful as moving can be, I always loved the process. Searching for our new home, staging our current one and planning the decorating to come, were things I relished and even looked forward to.

When we moved into our current home, I discovered Decor/ Lifestyle blogs. Blogs sparked my creativity so much so that I started my my own blog as a way to share my passion for design and all things decorating. Through blogging I had the opportunity to design and implement room makeovers, decorate homes and businesses for the holidays and help people "Make Their House a Home, One Idea at a Time".

I love the look of a collected home and I truly believe that every home tells a story. Your home should tell your story. This can be achieved by mixing favorite pieces, collected over time, with new pieces, found at a store that you just had to have. adding a little sparkle and some rust never hurts. Top it off with a little of the unexpected and we have the makings of your ideal space.

Ultimately, everything I have learned throughout my life, has given me the skills to take what I love and turn it into a way to help people with their homes.
